Off and on for the past few months I’ve been playing around with my main website, NateDillon.com. The result is a new version of the website with an Apple TV-ish design that gave me an opportunity to try out a few things, like inline SVGs, CSS calc(), and transform.

Rum Punch Recipe
Trying to come up with a good rum punch for a get-together, I ended up with this recipe:
- 1.5 oz dark rum
- 0.5 oz coconut rum
- 0.25 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 oz pineapple juice
- 2 oz orange juice (no pulp)
- 1 oz guava nectar
- 1 tsp grenadine
- 0.25 tsp almond syrup
Shake the ingredients together and serve on ice.
Connect Navigation
My team recently finished an overhaul of the navigation on our primary product, K-State Connect. Connect serves as a dashboard for Kansas State University, displaying various university services within “widgets”. The main goal of the navigation re-design was to add links directly to each of the widgets within the dashboard. The navigation was also in need of a better small screen experience.
